HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush launches September 10, 2026 worldwide. Ultimate Edition owners get three-day Early Access on September 7. Milestone S.r.l. develops and publishes the game. It is still upcoming: do not treat store art, old trailers, or wishlist pages as proof that the islands are live.

The date you see in June 2026 materials is often wrong. The original public window was September 24. Milestone then pulled the launch forward two weeks. Gematsu reported the change, and Milestone’s own pages now list September 10 with Early Access on the 7th. If a retailer or video description still shows the 24th, treat that as leftover copy, not a second SKU.

What changed, and what did not

The move from September 24 to September 10 is a calendar shift, not a platform cut. The hardware list is unchanged: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and ROG Xbox Ally / Ally X. Early Access is tied to the Ultimate Edition, not to every pre-order. Standard and Deluxe still wait for September 10. Three days of Early Access is a head start on the four islands and the 150-plus launch roster — not a beta. Platforms and storefronts

Console copies belong on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. PC copies list Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store. Xbox storefront copy also mentions Play Anywhere for Series and PC. Milestone lists ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X as supported handhelds.

Performance targets

Director Domenico Celenza outlined console targets in a GamingBolt interview. PS5 Pro aims for 4K with PSSR and up to 120 fps. PS5 and Xbox Series X aim for 4K60. Xbox Series S aims for 1440p60. Switch 2 aims for 1080p30. Those are studio targets, not independent launch benchmarks. Re-check official notes during launch week if frame rate is why you pick a box.

Multiplayer, cross-play, and player counts

Local split-screen supports up to four players. Online races support up to twelve, with Switch 2 listed at six. Cross-play covers every platform except Switch 2. A PS5, Series X, and Steam lobby can share online races; a Switch 2 player is on a separate pool. Couch split-screen still works, including on Switch 2, within that platform’s competitor cap.

How to read store pages in the last week

Pre-load times and midnight unlocks vary by store. Ultimate Early Access on September 7 can appear as a different SKU from Standard. If a page still shows September 24, look for Milestone’s September 10 date before you assume a delay. What to do once the date is on your calendar
